Lessons

I am available for private lessons at my studio in Center City Philadelphia, as well as online lessons. I work with students of all ages and levels, including beginners.

Teaching is a passion of mine and I truly enjoy helping students of all levels achieve their musical goals.

I don’t apply a singular approach for each student, because every student has their own strengths and weaknesses. As lessons continue, I pay close attention to how a student learns and picks up on new information which I use to guide me in choosing the most effective strategies going forward. Depending on the level, lessons can range from reading music, developing and improving technique, and understanding the music to allow for informed musical choices.

While I will always have suggestions regarding the choice of repertoire, I think it’s very important for the student to be playing music that they personally enjoy and will be motivated to practice. With beginners I do encourage a more structured approach, but I always want it to be enjoyable. Regardless of level, the importance of effective and efficient practice methods is always stressed.
